Lautku penuh dengan teka-teki
Lautku penuh dengan misteri
Lautku penuh dengan mimpi
Lautku juga penuh kengerian
Lautku juga penuh kesejukan
Lautku juga penuh keIlahian.............

CHAIRIL ANWAR
INDONESIAN REVOLUTIONARY POET
Come on! Bung Karno give hand let’s make a promise
I’ve heard discussed with you long enough
roasted over
You’re fire, salted by you’re sea
From the start on August 17, 1945
I stepped forward to be meeting your side
I’m now a fire, I’m now the sea
(Bung Karno! You and I are one substance, one strand
In your veins, in my veins, our ships and anchored opposite
In your substance, in my substance, our ships sailing.
Ayo ! Bung Karno kasi tangan mari kita bikin djandji
Aku sudah tjukup lama dengar bitjaramu
dipanggang atas apimu,
digarami oleh lautmu
Dari mulai tgl 17 Agustus 1945
Aku melangkah kedepan berada rapat disisimu
Aku sekarang api, aku sekarang lautBung Karno !
dan aku satu zat, satu urat
Di zatmu, di zatku, kapal2 kita berlajar
Di uratmu, di uratku, kapal2 kita bertolak & berlabuh.
Aku sudah tjukup lama dengar bitjaramu

The Ocean.........
ALAM SEMESTA Telah banyak kutulis tentang langit.
UNIVERSE (Translation) I have written a lot about the sky. About the ocean, the wind and the mountain. I have written a lot about life. About death and profit. I have a lot...................... And still I am going to write about the sky. About the ocean, the wind, and also about love. Who gives hope and trust. To raise up the weak and hopeless To make this life is more colourful. (by Mutiara)

Why I Love Melbourne
You'll find no shark
In Noble Park,
It's too from the sea,
Snakes don't kill
In Yarraville
(another place to be).
And if you fear
The Grizzly bear,
The tiger and the lion,
You safely go
To Ivanhoe
And find a bed to lie on.

The rest, please come to our dinner, once every three months!

Pablo Neruda
Lou senang sekali Pablo seperti juga Che:
Para mi corazon basta tu pecho,
para tu libertad basta mis alas.
Desde mi boca llegara hasta el cielo
lo que estaba dormido sobre tu alma.
...........................
...........................
Artinya:
Your breast is enough for my heart,
and my wings for your freedom.
what was sleeping above your soul will rise
out of my mouth to heaven.

Aeschylus
Lebih dari 2000 tahun lalu
seorang penyair Yunani kuno Aeschylus menulis:
"....bahkan di dalam tidur kita, kepedihan yang tak bisa terlupakan, setetes demi setetes, jatuh di permukaan hati, datanglah kebijaksanaan kepada kita dari anugerah Tuhan yang dahsyat itu."
More than 2000 years ago, an ancient Greek poet Aeschylus wrote: "...........even in our sleep, pain that can not forget, falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God."
Next meeting: 19 February 2011, Garage Cafe, 221 Berkeley st, Carlton, 7.30pm!
